Stopped School Bus.......It's The Law! Vehicles must stop when the bus displays flashing
lights and extends the stop signal arm.
With the area schools
back in session children are walking to their school bus stops in the
mornings and walking home after being dropped off in the afternoons.
Please be alert and look out for them as you drive through the
neighborhoods. After school they are outside playing everywhere.
Please watch for them as you are
driving through the neighborhoods.
The speed limits on residential streets is 20mph. Don't be in such a hurry that you put the life of a child in danger. Teach your children to be aware of traffic when they are playing. The most important thing you can do is SLOW DOWN! |

"Sound The Alarm"
Next
time you come home for the night and you go to put your keys away, think
of the car alarm with the keys: It's a security alarm system that
you probably already have and requires no installation.Start keeping your car keys next to you bed, on the night stand, when you go to bed at night. If you think someone is trying to get into your house or if you hear a noise outside, press the panic alarm on your car key chain. Test it! It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking, until your battery runs down or you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in the garage or the driveway. If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar or rapist, wont stick around... after a few seconds all the neighbors will be looking out their window to see who is there and, sure enough, the criminal won't want that. Try yours to make sure it works, before you rely on it. Just know that you must press the alarm button again to turn it off - and remember to carry your keys when walking to your car in the parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there, too. This something that should really be shared with everyone, whether or not you personally have a car alarm. If you don't have one make sure you pass this on. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime. |
